Daniel Diaz, PE

President || Principal Engineer

Daniel has more than a decade of experience in the structural engineering field. His expertise includes new building analysis and design, additions, inspection of existing structures, and forensic investigation. Daniel has designed and managed numerous commercial, industrial, residential, and healthcare structures utilizing post-tensioned and traditionally reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, pre-cast concrete, and timber framing. Daniel’s forensic experience includes inspection services for buildings and other structures related to structural failures, building settlement-related damage, building water infiltration issues, construction defects, and damage from vehicular impact.

Projects Daniel Has Played a Key Role In

  • Lakeside Terranea, Dallas, TX:

    Daniel was part of the structural design team for the 565,000 GSF, 17-story luxury high-rise, which features 210 apartments, a rooftop amenity deck with a pool, and 5,000 SF of ground-level retail. The structure uses post-tensioned concrete slabs with reinforced concrete columns and shear walls.

  • Capitol Lofts, Knoxville, TN:

    Daniel served as structural project manager and lead designer for this multi-family building, which features a 5-story wood structure atop a 2-story post-tensioned concrete garage podium. Built into a hillside, the garage includes below-grade sections with concrete and pre-engineered retaining walls.

  • Carmel Midtown, Carmel, IN:

    Daniel was the structural project manager and lead designer for this multi-family building with a 4-story wood structure atop a 2-story post-tensioned concrete podium, featuring a plaza level with a pool and amenities.

  • Summit Office Building, Lakeland, FL.

    Daniel was the structural project manager and lead designer for this eight-level cast-in-place concrete office building with four levels of parking garage and four upper levels of office space in downtown Lakeland. The building features post-tensioned concrete slabs and beams and cast-in-place concrete shear walls. Shallow foundations were able to be used on soils stabilized by vibro-compaction.

  • East Park Village II, Lake Nona, FL :

    Daniel led the structural design for this Lake Nona development, featuring 265,000 SF of residential space across three four-story wood-framed buildings and a 7,000 SF clubhouse with pre-engineered trusses and shallow concrete foundations.

  • Pura Vida Residences, Clearwater Beach, FL:

    Pura Vida Residences, Clearwater Beach, FL:

    Daniel managed and designed the structure for this 95,000 SF, eight-story Clearwater Beach condominium with 22 upscale units above two parking levels. The post-tensioned concrete structure meets Coastal High Hazard Zone requirements.
